Fresh from recent performances with; Gary Bartz, The JB’s (feat James Brown rhythm section players Clyde Stubblefield and Fred Thomas), Peter Apfelbaum’s ‘Sparkler’ as well as vocalist Sia, New York-based pianist/composer Barney McAll makes a very welcome return to the Trio format for some exclusive Australian performances.
Playing all new pieces exploring musical light and shadow, Barney and his cohorts will expand techniques of subverting and manipulating given compositional architecture as a way of producing serendipitous outcomes so as to then ‘dine out’ on them.
Barney will also be debuting his recent foray into ventriloquism and will be introducing his zombie clown puppet “Feral Junior” who will be master of ceremonies for this enchanting evening of music.
